The Weyerhaeuser Family Foundation engages family members in meaningful, responsible philanthropy that promotes the welfare of human and natural resources.
On January 24, 1950, the Weyerhaeuser Family Foundation,
Inc. was incorporated under the provisions of the Minnesota Nonprofit
Corporation Act. The Weyerhaeuser Family Foundation, Inc. is supported
and governed by members of the Weyerhaeuser Family. The Foundation is
not affiliated with the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation.
The Trustees will consider grant applications that fall
within the bounds of the Foundation's areas of interest; however, the
Trustees select for support only those organizations exempt under US
tax laws and only support projects and programs which address a prime
need and are equipped to make a major contribution under the
circumstances existing at the particular time.
The Foundation requests that the areas of interest, restrictions, and application process be reviewed carefully before submitting a Stage One application. Please see Guidelines for International Initiative,
Sustainable Forest and Communities Initiative.
